Sadie, Sadie, Married Lady.

Today is day 11 as a married girl. Today's agenda? A whole lot of nothing, with a ton of Gilmore Girls mixed in, followed by some email catch up and phone call number 4 with my mom because she keeps me sane, and all leading up to the main event tonight... Car shopping with my husband. All in all this is shaping up to be a pretty decent day in the world of the new Mrs. Morris. Still unbelievably weird to hear myself say, but true nonetheless.

Holy cow has the last week and half been a whirlwind of events, people and emotions. So, for all of you who weren't here to experience it and even those who were, I shall now recap the last 11 days of married life.

First of all. I got married. That day was a blur of pure awesomeness. It started with my twin showing up with my favorite Starbucks drink. She always knows how to make things better :)

Next, my wonderful hairdresser was a magician and turned me into Cinderella. I seriously don't know how she made me look like I had so much hair, because I really don't. I mean, I have hair, obviously, but its very thin. So a pony tail is usually a difficult task, but she worked wonders. It was a really good hair day.

The next 8 hours went way too fast, but they were perfect. Literally everything that happened couldn't have made the day more perfect. The Ceremony was breathtaking. Literally. I was so blessed by the love that was there that it was hard to take it all in. My personal favorite moment? Our youngest Jr. Groomsman peed his pants. No one noticed because they were black, but he did nonetheless. Did I mention that it was the perfect wedding? Cause it was. On a more serious note, my actual favorite moment of the ceremony was the time that Nic and I's families spent praying over us. It was such an intimate moment, filled with so much love and emotion. It made me truly grateful for the life that God has given us.

The Reception. Oh man the reception. The people, the venue, the atmosphere. It truly felt like Cinderella going to the ball. I was so humbled by the experience. I seriously do not think my parents will ever know how grateful I am for all that they did for me. They gave me everything that I have ever dreamed of and I will never be able to repay them for that. They are awesome. Awesome isn't even a strong enough word. I don't think there is a way to describe them that is legitimate enough. I love them more than words can say.

As wonderful as the day was, I was exhausted by the end of it. The build up to the day, how emotionally tired I was, everything together, I was very ready for a break. Enjoy this picture of us on the plane on the way to Disney World. I'm lucky we got one of me awake.

Disney was 7 days of pure wonderfulness. It was such an amazing break. Just getting away from everyone and everything and just enjoying being together was more than I could have ever asked for. It was great to just establish us. Having Mickey Mouse around to help wasn't so bad either. :)

We spent 2 full days in Magic Kingdom, one day in Hollywood Studios, and one full day in Epcot. Each day had its own blend of magic in it. Between the lights, the rides, the experiences, it is quite possible that I fell more in love with Nic everyday. I didn't think I could, but somehow, it happened. Those memories will never fade. And I am more than thankful for that. Here are a few highlights from our trip :)

Since getting home on Sunday, things have slowed down quite a bit and Im loving it. Nic is back at work since Tuesday, and I have been going through the marathon of making a budget, researching cars to buy, adjusting to living in a new place for the first time, watching a lot of Gilmore Girls to make myself feel at home, doing laundry for two which is new, cooking dinners and learning how to be a wife, slowly but surely.

We had our first in home date night complete with our first home cooked dinner, popcorn, the world's most comfortable blanket and The Newsies on blu-ray. It was the perfect evening. Compliments of the Arends' wedding gift: a date in a box. It was so wonderful. So thanks guys!!!

We went out to dinner for the first time married last night. It was the same place we always go, and its the same food we always eat, but somehow it just felt different. I loved it.

Other than that, we are just learning how to do life together. Its been a great first few weeks and we are gearing up for our roadtrip to PA next weekend for our casual reception with the Pittsburgh crew. Im actually really excited to roadtrip this time. Its the same drive we always make, but this time itll be different. Ill be making the trip with my husband. Thats such a weird thing to hear myself say. But its true. Im excited for this next season in life.

On another note, there's only 130 days until Christmas. Score.

Until next time...
